Hats
Women have worn hats for many different purposes and in a variety of different situations. At classy parties ladies would often wear large well designed hats as part of their outfits. Women of lower class also wore hats for differnet purposes such as to keep the sun from their eyes when working outside, or tucking hair under the hat to pass as a man.
In modern day, women don't wear the large hats so much anymore, but more often wear them for practical purposes such as shielding the sun from their eyes, holding their hair out of their face by tucking it under the hat, and in certain social circles worn as a fashion statement or support for a sports team. Celerbity women also wear hats to cover their eyes and help protect their identies from people while in public.
